Rasheeda Bush Licensed Professional Counselor | Founder of Sweet Imprints Counseling

Many of the people I work with are used to being the dependable one, the person others turn to, the one who keeps things together even when life feels heavy. Over time, carrying that much can leave little room to sort through your own thoughts, emotions, or experiences. I’m Rasheeda Bush, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals and couples through anxiety, relationship challenges, past wounds, and difficult seasons of life. My work focuses on helping people understand the emotional patterns that shape how they respond to stress, conflict, and connection so they can begin relating to themselves and others in healthier ways. By nature, I bring a calm and steady presence to the therapy space. My approach is thoughtful and collaborative, drawing from trauma-informed care, emotionally focused work, and motivational interviewing. I listen closely, ask meaningful questions, and help clients work through what has been weighing on them so they can move through life with greater steadiness and self-trust.

Mission.

My mission is to provide a safe and supportive space where individuals and couples can explore their experiences, heal from past wounds, and develop a stronger sense of self-worth. I am committed to helping clients gain clarity, strengthen emotional well-being, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Vision.

My vision is to help individuals break free from cycles of emotional pain, generational trauma, and limiting beliefs so they can live with greater confidence, peace, and authenticity. I believe that when people heal themselves, they also change their families, relationships, and communities.

What Makes My Approach Different

I create a space where you can be real.

Therapy should feel like a place where you can speak openly without fear of judgment. I focus on creating a supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences honestly.

I focus on deeper understanding, not just surface solutions.

While coping skills are important, lasting change comes from understanding the root of patterns, emotional triggers, and beliefs that shape how we show up in our lives and relationships.

I meet you where you are.

Everyone’s healing journey is different. My approach is collaborative, meaning we work together to identify your goals and move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

Many people come to therapy after feeling misunderstood, judged, or like they were just another appointment on someone’s schedule.

My Approach to Therapy

My work is informed by trauma-informed care, emotionally focused approaches, and motivational interviewing. These approaches allow us to explore the deeper emotional patterns that influence thoughts, behaviors, and relationships.

Together, we focus on:

Increasing emotional awareness and self-understanding

Strengthening self-worth and confidence

Improving communication and relationship dynamics

Healing unresolved emotional wounds

Developing tools for managing anxiety, stress, and life transitions

Therapy is not about perfection. It is about growth, healing, and learning how to show up in your life in a healthier and more empowered way.

The Heart of My Work

At the core of my work is a simple belief:

People deserve to feel understood, valued, and capable of change.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, personal growth, or healing from the past, therapy can provide a space where meaningful change begins.

You do not have to go through it alone.
